Fearless Summit is a unique annual gathering of Church and Marketplace leaders who are passionate about bringing much needed Godly change in every Sector of Society. I was really looking forward to my 1st ever Fearless Summit 2020, venue Uganda. At least my new passport would have been stamped and I was super ready to make new friends. Super unfortunate, Covid-19 happens, and every plan we had, had to be canceled.

Fearless Summit 2020 wasn't postponed, in fact, it became the very first virtual edition. And am super happy I got a chance to experience the 1st ever virtual edition. I watched it with my mum, siblings who are not in Kenya, my friends, some colleagues, and of course I could watch it at a convenient time anywhere. And it was absolutely Free of charge.

Let me start by saying the hosts on Fearless radio were hilarious, gosh the kept one wanting to come back and watch more. The morning prayers also played a big impact on my life, because most of the time I really don't know how to start praying. Then the Artists who used to open the show, I love such rooted music, there is a way they just have an effect of healing the soul. The Global Fearless Sunday service crowned everything. Worship led by musical powerhouses Maluki, Mercy Masika, Karwirwa Laura, Rigga, and Eunice Njeri 🙌 was simply amazing.

I loved all the sections from day one to the last day, but there specific once that really touched me as an individual, on growing my faith in Christ. Amazing men of God were on the platform, I was really inspired by this topic on religion during the pandemic. I have been doing research on religion and the pastor from Uganda and Nigeria cleared some doubts I had. They preached on how the church is not only a building but the church is each individual. They go on saying the impact on COVID-19, churches should follow integrity and spread love during this season, to assist the less fortunate in society.

From the conversations, many youths are afraid of going to church the building to be equipped with the knowledge to enable them to go out and become disciples. The majority of us see the church is not doing anything to fight vices like corruption, instead, the same churches are the once that allow the same politicians who oppress them to stand on the pulpits. Plenty of churches need to focus on youths since they are the leaders of tomorrow.

There those days the topics were on technology, on how many businesses during this pandemic have shut down, and how people have embraced doing majority of their stuff online; from working from home to schooling at home. As much as the internet may be cool, it may also be toxic. So we should mind the stuff we consume.

The whole summit was an interesting ordeal. I got to see stories of ordinary people who go through the very same things I go through. From rejection to depression. People who even before the whole pandemic also went through the worse experience. From the Summit, I have learned the virtue of being patient. Someone like Churchill Ndambuki from going to Bible school and instead of becoming a pastor in a church, he became an influencer in the comedy industry which will go down history, as he made a big change in this industry.

Sometimes I really don't know what the future has on hold for me; at this season of my life, I would feel sorry for myself. A 29-year-old who is still trying to figure out what is my purpose in this life. What I need to do to make an impact in my life and that of others. I sometimes never even understand my purpose in this life, but when I watch stuff like Fearless Summit and continue reading the Bible, am convinced there's hope, a better and brighter tomorrow. Fearless Summit and Fearless Institute have made me become hopeful in this world full of fear and am becoming the sparks.
